Haesanite Foreign Advisory

The Haesanite Foreign Advisory is a regularly updated internet-produced guide as to the safety conditions across the International Democratic Union (IDU) for Haesanite travelers. The Foreign Advisory is published by the Haesan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs out of their Hanyeong office and often factors in information provided by other executive branch agencies such as the Haesanite Center for Disease Prevention (HCDP) and the Haesanite Secret Intelligence Services (HSIS). The Foreign Advisory rates nations and their sub-regions on a scale from one to four, with one representing "Safe to travel" and four signifying "Do not travel."

History[edit | edit source]

First published as a pamphlet distributed at Haesanite airports in 1931, the Foreign Advisory was one of the first collations of international travel requirements and disease risks in the IDU. While maintained by the governments of the Free Republic, after the Great War and the dissolution of Haesan it was scrapped from the budget. Reinstated in 1987 by the Pak Ye-ju administration, the Advisory was fully digitized in 2008. In recent years it has come to serve as a benchmark of travel advisories for many democratic nations in the IDU as Haesan's relative neutrality and extensive diplomatic network and intelligence capacity have led the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' classifications to be particularly well regarded.
