North Fleura was a kingdom that existed from 1840 until 1924 on the territory of present-day Kerlile. The nation was initially a split with South Fleura, which later became part of Lauchenoiria, following a republican revolution in the south of Fleura which did not spread to the north.
After the death of King Robert VI, the Fleuran royal line died out, leading to a succession crisis in North Fleura, with two individuals - Edith Hart and Callum May - having equal claims. This crisis lasted until a number of wealthy women came to the country with the aim of establishing a gynarchial state; invited by Edith Hart after the death of Callum May. These women became the Founding Mothers of Kerlile after spending ten years gaining control of the North Fleuran territories through a combination of mercenary forces and bribery of nobility.
