Marilène Pierre (born Maja Alena Pjer; 28 October 1881 - 15 June 1959), was the Pierre Family founder of Kerlile. PIerre was a member of the Council of Kerlile from 1934 until her death. Pierre was born in 1881 in Kvask, emigrating to Kerlile (then North Fleura) with her nine-year-old daughter in 1924.

Early life[edit | edit source]

Pierre was born as part of the Pjer family in Kvask. The Pjers were a minor house within the Sieghard Empire, controlling part of what is now Rszevnik. Within the War of the Pines, the Pjer house aided the Koczi house and gained a seat at the bargaining table. With power in their hands, they survived and even established the National Communist government of 1854.

However, by 1920, the people having toiled for decades under the boot of the Pjer family, rose up and destroyed their hold on Kvask, forcing Marilène and her nine-year-old daughter to flee westward to North Fleura, where she would become one of the Founding Mothers of Kerlile four years later, changing the names of herself and her daugher. Marilène's husband was among those publicly executed in Pine's Triad.

Founding of Kerlile[edit | edit source]

Between 1924 and 1934, Marilène was in charge of the administration of the Lunalea region of Kerlile, which borders Zongongia and Lauchenoiria. In Lunalea, Marilène Pierre worked to eradicate 'patriarchal sentiment', which included mass executions of a number of men, and strict laws regulating speech. Land was seized from a number of male North Fleuran nobles and given to women.
