The Kaijan League is an insurgent Kajanese separatist group in Slokais Islands

History[edit | edit source]

The Kaijan League has its origins in 2014 the failed Kaijan Development Act. This was a controversial series of economic and political policies headed by the federal government that were widely panned in Kaijan. Their leader Abdul Romano had served in the Second Kaijan War, this time however he used a mix of religion and education to gain members. Documents reveal the group trained in a site in North Kaijan funded by various investors.

2020 Insurgency[edit | edit source]

In November 2020 the Kaijan League carried out attacks across Kaijan. First at the Provincetown Hotel in a mass targeting of federal officials. Other insurgents captured the Tribal Council as well as the Ambassador to Slokais from Laeral. In New Liverpool, there was a mass stabbing incident by a lone-wolf agent who knew of the plans of the Kaijan League, as well as the planting of a bomb inside the Slokasian Embassay in Eria. The Kaijan League held the Tribal Council hostage for 9 days before an agreed-upon sum was given by the govermeant. The insurgents then secured a plane, landing at a remote airfield. Across Kascan and Allman Townships, insurgents quickly secured the govermeant building establishing control of 60% of Kascan Township and 20% of Allman Township within a week. However, a raid by special forces captured Abdul Romano a few days later. Despite this, the Kaijan League launched an assault on Kascan City. The Battle of Kascan City took place on December 23 and saw heavy losses on both sides with the Kaijan League being pushed back by a larger federal force. Both sides then briefly regrouped and by December 27th, John Acura Jr. had arrived to command the force. A series of quick advances led to the capture of Karonda City by Federal forces on January 4th, which led to the surrender of much of the Kaijan League leadership with remaining insurgents retreating into the mountains.

2023[edit | edit source]

In early, 2023 various cells re-activated across Kaijan attacking police officers and govermeant infrastructure. This led to Operation Redemption where a force of Federal forces patrolled Kaijan. Currently, Abdul Romano is on trial in New Liverpool and awaits his sentencing for murder and terrorism.

Actions and Ideals[edit | edit source]

The Kaijan League has stated they will do anything for the Independence of Kaijan. They are an Islamic-based organization and support the ideals of Islamic fundamentalism such as Salfism. And advocate for a return to the "pious times" a period that is believed to have occurred around 1200 when Islam was being developed. Thus homosexuality, as well as gambling and not sticking to dietary practices, is considered a social illness by the Kaijan League. Within their controlled regions in 2020, arrested and executed as many as 150 civilians at the Jaifara Building in Kascan Township for various crimes although many they persecuted were of the Minjian Faith. They see the central government and those affiliated as enemies of Kaijan

Members[edit | edit source]

Currently, the Kaijan League has around 5,000 members, although since 2021 there has been no true centralized leadership. Intelligence suggests the average age of members is around 19-22, evidence of the youth appeal of the Kaijan League. A majority are ethically Kaijanese Arab, although some of the leadership is Indgeious as evident from leaked communications in the Jalai language.
