Episodes[edit | edit source]

Episode Title Synopsis Critic Rating [a]
#1 Fly or Flounder? Julián Moreno is the idealistic Minister of Infrastructure in the Government of Aredoa and a rising star within the Aredoan Democrats. When Chief Minister Juan Sancho dies unexpectedly from a heart attack, Moreno is thrust into the spotlight as his colleagues select him as Interim Chief Minister, a position seen as a poisoned chalice. With tabloids spreading unfounded rumours of foul play in Sancho's death, Moreno must immediately calm the shocked nation- and the stakes could not be higher, with the stock market plummeting and a run on the banks looming. 9.1
#2 (Dis)united Democrats Moreno is selected as the leader of the United Democrats and takes up the Chief Minister's office on a permanent basis. His government faces a backbench rebellion on a crucial financial bill by the old guard within his party, eager to display its remaining influence against Moreno's progressive wing. Moreno must act to unite the party before news of the rift goes public. 8.5
#3 Us against them A series of illiberal decrees are passed and enforced by heavy police violence in neighbouring Forannia, sparking an unprecedented surge of asylum seekers at Aredoa's border. Moreno is accused by anti-immigration parties of putting immigrants above native Aredoans as he moves to fast-track the asylum process to prevent overloading the capacity of the asylum system. 8.2
#4 On all fronts The brutal beating of a gay man by a recent immigrant exacerbates the immigration crisis, leaving the government facing backlash from both left and right-wing groups. A subsequent rise in hate crimes against the Islamic community leaves Moreno facing a trio of seemingly incompatible problems. 7.9
#5 Do and die After Moreno and the Aredoan Government lead an international effort to increase sanctions against Imperial Sanochia, an unarmed Sanochian ballistic missile lands in Aredoan waters. Moreno must deal with the incident's fallout and determine if the landing point was an accident, as Sanochia suggests, or if the missile was a warning to intimidate Aredoa's sanction efforts into silence. With many hawkish voices demanding military action, Moreno aims to calm the nation and prevent a conflict that could prove to be disastrous. 9.4
#6 The final test After two years as Chief Minister, Moreno aims to hit the ground running on the campaign trail and see his government re-elected. Whether Moreno has won over the Aredoan public or will be kicked out of office remains to be seen in this nail-biting finale. 9.6

Reception[edit | edit source]

Inside the House has been well received by both critics and audiences, with all episodes receiving a rating of 'Good' or 'Great' by review aggregator Aredoa Watches. Jane Cruz of the Aredoan Observer praised the series, writing in her newspaper column that the series "allows audiences to connect with the main cast, providing a nail-biting yet satisfying plot and a superb ending".

The series was translated into several prominent languages for international audiences, receiving high praise similar to that of domestic audiences. However, the negative depiction of the fictional nations of Forannia and Sanochia generated some controversy, with it being widely believed that the nations represented Mallancaland and Xiomera respectively.
