Brian Smith (April 20, 1924 - June 1, 2000) was a Bjeorgite politician who served as the Provincial Governor of Bjeorg in the late 20th century. He is known for declaring independence from Libertas Omnium Maximus and being the figurehead of rebel forces during the ensuing 1991 armed conflict. Following the collapse of Bjeorg high command due to internal power struggles in the late summer of 1991, Smith surrendered himself to Maximusian forces. In exchange for signing the Portland Accords on January 13, 1992, Smith was pardoned for orchestrating the conflict, and lived out the remainder of his years in forced retirement on Bluegill Cove (an island off the coast of Bjeorg) until his natural death in 2000.
