The Christian Union Party is a major Maximusian political party broadly advocating for the preservation of traditional mainline Protestant Christian values. The party has considerable support in the nation's rural north east. The Christian Union splintered off of the National Conservative Party in the early 1960s. Martha Pickering, the junior representative of Bressel Province, is the only member of the Christian Union currently serving in the Senate high chamber, though the party controls eighteen seats in the Senatus Populus. The Christian Union generally advocates for conservative Christian social values and mixed-market economic solutions. Since the 1970s, the party has been a consistent advocate for nuclear disarmament and pacifist foreign policy.
