The Slokasain Legislature is a legislative body of the Federation of the [[Slokais Islands]]. Their job is to pass and regulate bills and laws as well as to call for presidential elections or to override the president. The leading parties are the [[Centrists]],[[National Alliance (Slokais)|National Alliance]] and the [[Conservative Party of Slokais|Conservative Party]]. Seats are based on provincewide proportional rep are based on votes in a district, 1 rep per 75,000 votes. This is a change from the 1990s when it was based on districts called "Wards" or "Regions". These still exist today only within postal addresses and street names. Elections are held every 4 years or can occur every 2 years depending on if an election is called by a majority vote for the Legislature at the start of a new session. The number of seats is updated every 5 years based on the census. Whatever coalition has a majority of seats, can have its leader become Prime Minister and appoint cabinet members.
