Tirzah is a small coastal city in Zamastan. It's a popular tourist destination near Tofino, and is accessible from the ocean by two small inlets classified by fjords. Known for its stunning beauty and calculated land value, many tycoons, actors, billionaires, world leaders, and other celebrities from around Zamastan and the International Democratic Union have permanent or vacation homes here.

History[edit | edit source]

1800's[edit | edit source]

Goman El'Poran arrived in the area that would later become Tirzah on April 3, 1809, travelling along native trails which followed the present-day route of Sheffield Boulevard.

The area was settled by Karla Ony Cornelius de Amandez and her husband in 1828. They called their 4,500 acres (18 km2) of property the Ranch Omana de las Tirzah. In 1854, she sold the ranch to Aaron Armondson Wilson (1811–1878) and Percy Randall (1822–1883). By the 1880s, the ranch had been subdivided into parcels of 75 acres (0.30 km2) and was being rapidly bought up by anglos from Tofino and the north coast.

Mandelson Hammel and Mark B. Benker acquired most of it and used it for farming cocoa beans. At this point, the area was known as the Hammel and Benker Ranch. By 1888, Benker and Hammel were planning to build a town called Tirzah on their holdings

1900's[edit | edit source]

In 1900, Marton E. Farhen, Parcels A. Bentenfield, John Whittier, and Frank H. Banch, formed the Tirzah Oil Company, bought the Hammel and Benker ranch, and began looking for oil. They did not find enough to exploit commercially by the standards of the time, though. In 1906, therefore, they reorganized as the Tirzah Land and Water Company, renamed the property "Tirzah Hills", subdivided it, and began selling lots. The development was named "Tirzah".

By the 1920's, the area's natural beauty attracted the attention of business tycoons who wanted estates away from the industrial smog of Tofino, and the area soon began catering to wealthier inhabitants. By 1940, the city's land value had risen so significantly that soon, only the very wealthy could afford lots.

1930 saw the infamous Rabernath Murders, a murder-suicide committed by Frank Rabernath - the richest man in Zamastan and in the world at the time.

The 1980's brought around the beginnings of contemporary-modern design to the infrastructure of mansions in the city.

On May 17th, 1986, businessman and oil tycoon James Upanon was found murdered in his estate. The next day, over Z$ 30 million went missing from his private banking fund. The murder and the missing monetary transaction became a source of speculation and controversy.

2000-2010[edit | edit source]

2002 saw the election of Tirzah's first Muslim mayor; Khamani bin Omar.

In 2006, Nicholas Brennan, who was at the time the Minister of Justice of Laeral, was at the head of investigations into the Fesnau Scandal, which found the President of Laeral, Maurice Fesnau was bribed with funds on a mansion in Tirzah and a house in Choisel for his mistress. President Fesnau was eventually impeached.

On July 7th, 2009, a fire erupted at the Polonis Nightclub in Tirzah, killing 13 people and injuring over 60. The fire was one of the deadliest building fires in Zamastanian history.

2010-present[edit | edit source]

In 2012, ZSuites Incorporated acquired 3,039 vacant residential lots in the city on which to develop real estate. As of 2019, over 2,300 of these lots have been developed into multi-million dollar residences.
