The Tattervine River, also known as Koureli (in ancient Hylotik), is a major river that cuts through the heart of Iustita Island and dumps into the Illien Bay. The river is only navigable by large vessels for its final twelve miles, which preserved settlements upriver from destruction during the Tattervine River War in 1561. Iustitia City, one of the oldest settlements on the island and the largest city in Libertas Omnium Maximus, was established at the mouth of the Tattervine in 1495 by explorers from Valahandia.
