South Kaijan is a province of Slokais Islands located on the southern half of Kaijan Island, bordering North Kaijan. The province is home to 2,712,369 people, with the capital city being Mandana and the largest city being Pendang with 612,767 people. South Kaijan is known for being a center of rubber and palm oil production as well as the manufacturing of consumer goods. The province is also a center for Kaijanese culture and music, with the province being the least wealthy and developed, as it's the neighboring province to the north. Since 2021, the province has experienced ongoing conflict between the government and various Islamist and pro-Independence armed groups was led to much of the province being under a state of federal intervention.

South Kaijan for much of its history was controlled by various local farming kingdoms who divided the land into various serfdoms. However the entire island came under the control of the Jeblyana Kingdom located in the prosperous isthmus region in the center of Kaijan. The Jeblyana established a rigid social order based on belief in various animal spirits and a process of reincarnation and divine predestination for success. When Islam reached Kaijan in the 1300s, the religion spread quickly as it broke this social structure and promised connections to the regional trade networks. This growth would lead to an acceptance of Islam by the Jeblyana Empire before its eventual collapse, as the Kaijanese Caliphate was established in what is now Kaijan City. From this point on, the entire island was united and fairly peaceful
