Sentinel Province, also known as La Montagne by its French-speaking minority, is a Maximusian federal province. Occupying the largest island of the Maximusian southern archipelago, Sentinel has no land connections to the mainland peninsula, making it the only non-contiguous province. The overwhelming majority of Sentineliers live on the island's south bank in the Cape Ashleigh metropolitan region. Due to the isle's agrestic interior, the Maximusian military has a large presence in the province. The province hosts both the Navy's largest base and the Little Neck Proving Grounds, one of the Army's largest weapons test campuses.
