The Secretary of Agriculture of Zamastan is the head of the Zamastan Department of Agriculture which is charged with the responsibility to develop and implement policies and programs that ensure Zamastan's agricultural, fisheries, food and forestry industries remain competitive, profitable and sustainable. The Secretary of Agriculture is a member of the President's Cabinet, and is nominated by the President of Zamastan. Nominees for Secretary of Agriculture undergo a confirmation hearing before the Congressional Committee on Agriculture before being voted on by the Senate.
