The Nuiqsut Peace Center is designed around the traditional Nuiqsutian concept of "Qaujimajgit" or "a way of being". Traditionally in Nuiqsutian society, disagreements are solved through through the various parties gathering in a small hut and eating a shared tea made from flowers. In 2021, Commissioner of Nuiqsut Amanda Nurr'araaluk founded the Nuqisut Peace Center in cooperation with an existing organization known as Qaujimajgit House. Construction began on a headquarters for the group in 2022, with offices being completed in 2023. The entire complex is expected to be completed in early 2025. This will include a digital and physical library of not only traditional Nuiqsutian knowledge but also traditional knowledge from around the world. The library will also include a data center located in the remote Central Region of the Nuiqsut Confederation.
