New Liverpool FC was founded in 1898 as New Liverpool Football Club by a group of river workers on the San Fernando River. The club is most successful in Slokasian football with 20 league Division 1 titles, 8 SPL Titles, and 23 Association Cup Titles. The team currently participates in the 2023–24 UHFA Elite Championship as well as the SPL. New Liverpool is the most attended club in the country with an average attendance in 2025-2026 of 64,580 per game.

Founded as one of the first clubs in Slokais in 1898, New Liverpool FC helped establish the Association Cup in 1905. From the founding of Northrock United in 1918, the two clubs have been rivals. The initiating incident was in 1929 when the wealthy Northrock bought the stadium rights from New Liverpool to play at the Goodhope Road Stadium, where New Liverpool has been playing since 1902. To this day, Northrock fans have the chant "We bought the Blues in 29', Your club is just fine, We will keep raising the Northrock Pine". In 1954, New Liverpool was forced to shut down by order of Juan Costa and replaced by the New Liverpool Police FC. After the Great War, New Liverpool was reborn in 1972. The team moved into the newly built New Liverpool Stadium sharing the ground with the Slokasian National Team. During the 80s and 90s, New Liverpool flourished into the most dominant team in Slokais, winning 7 league titles between 1985 and 2000. It was due to this dominance as well as the financial success of other clubs in the league, that the SPL was created in 2000. Although winning the inaugural 2001 title as well as 4 others in the 2000s, New Liverpool began to fall on hard times financially. However, a 2008 purchase by supporters kept the club afloat. In 2013-2014, New Liverpool was relegated to the Slokaisian First Division for the first time in their history, despite winning the League Cup and 25 goals from Sergio Rosales due to an injury crisis at the club and a loss in the Relegation-Playoff after finishing 11th.
New Liverpool won Liga 1 the following season with ease despite the sale of Rosales, due to the emergence of Theodore Zavala, ending their brief spell outside of the top-flight. Zavala would end up leading New Liverpool to a league title and cup double in 2015-2016 due to greater spending by new ownership. Zavala would end up becoming a franchise centerpiece player, as New Liverpool quickly became one of the most profitable and valuable clubs in Slokais, with a budding global presence. League titles in 2017-2018, 2020-2021 and 2023-2024 would make the club the second most successful club of the modern SPL era with 8 titles. On January 8th, 2026, Theodore Zavala would pass Louis Henderson's record of 132 league goals to become not only the all-time SPL goal leader but in the entire history of the Slokasian league.
