Houses[edit | edit source]
Over the monarchy's nearly 500 year existence, five great houses occupied the throne. The oldest, House Heinrichsoan, literally, the "Sons of Heinrich," and its two cadet branches, Celon and Aldhiem, controlled the country for half of that time. Katrien I was the final monarch of Valahandia of patrilineal descent from Cesan the Great. Under the final house, Deaneala, significant Opthelian cultural influence was introduced to the customs and rituals of the Valahandian monarchy.
