The Ministry of Justice (Eirian: Ministre dei Justica, Abbreviated MdJ) is an Eirian executive ministry tasked with law enforcement, litigation, and incarceration throughout the Republic. It consists of various law enforcement agencies (both national and local), incarceration facilities, and teams of lawyers and litigators (including prosecutors and public defenders). The Ministry's core offices are situated in a small building in Liberty Square, but a vast majority of employees work in other facilities, such as prisons, provincial offices, or Department-level offices (such as the Headquarters of the Department of Investigation and Enforcement, which is located on the other side of the Jelas River).
It is headed by the Minister of Justice, who also serves as the de jure Speaker of the Senate and the third person in line to succeed the Chancellor.
