The Ministry of Defense is a Slokais Islands governmental department responsible for internal and external security concerns. The Ministry was created in 1894, as one of the original government departments known as the Ministry of the Army. The Ministry is headquartered at the Howard Xiang Building located in the West Bank neighborhood of New Liverpool, the site also includes the National Intelligence Bureau's Headwater Building.

Orginzation[edit | edit source]

The Ministry of Defense is headed by the Minister of Defense, who is chosen by the parliamentary majority and confirmed by a majority vote within the Slokaisian Legislature. An internally selected group advises the Minister of advisors and oversees the various sub-departments which are each run by a Minister who is chosen by the President and confirmed by parliamentary acclamation. Besides this, the multiple employees of the department are hired and promoted internally, although all report to the Minister of Defense.
