Magna Republica
Magna Republica (English: The Great Republic) was the informal title for a series of policies and programs instituted by the Milton and Evans administrations between 1967 and 1972 in the Maximusian Republic. The stated goal of these polices was to expand the Maximusian federal government so that it might serve the needs of the entire nation, not just corporate interests or social elites. The Magna Republica reforms, broadly, focused on two key paradigms, bringing infrastructure to the nation's rural north and addressing poverty in the coastal south. The reforms were somewhat successful; although massive devaluation of the Maximusian dollar, inflation, and a corruption scandal led to the end of the Magna Republica policies, their legacy survives in massive infrastructure projects such as the Profectus Motorway, Kelly-Mason Reservoir, and Public Charter Universities system.
