Legionite War of Independence

The Legionite Revolutionary War (1740-1774), also known as the Legionite War of Independence, was a 3 decade long armed conflict fought primarily between the Shen Empire and Legionite Kingdom which resulted in the overthrow of Shenian rule in the Kingdom and the establishment of the Kingdom of Legionas.

Continuous economic strangulation, subjugation and general political, cultural as well as social differences strained the usually good relations between the colony and Shen Empire. Protests against Shen Rule began in 1738 in major urban centres in the colony, mostly in the Capital (Bayview).
