Jishutsy is the capital city of Tsiba, located in the north of the country. Jishutsy was a small, unincorporated farming community for the majority of it's existence. Jishutsy has a population of only 35,560, making it a relatively small Tsiba city. It has few major industries, besides those catering to the needs of the parliament of Tsiba, the Duchavoputsy. Before becoming the Capital City, Jishutsy was most notable as the birthplace of Charles Shipuva.
Jishutsy became the capital of Tsiba in 1994, succeeding Shuputsy. Jishutsy saw massive population growth in the late eighties and early nineties, swelling from only around 12,000 people to 30,000 in less than a decade.
Jishutsy is home to the University of Duchavo - Jishutsy (UD-Jishutsy), Tsiba's most well-renowned political science school, which was founded in 1992, during Jishutsy's population boom. Jishutsy is known for it's music and arts, and was the origin of Tsiba's punk scene in the late eighties. Jishutsy is significantly less religious than the country at large, with 58% of the population identifying as Athiests/Agnostics in 2019.
