History[edit | edit source]
Culture and values[edit | edit source]
The Hylotikos were at no point an entirely unified political group, instead consisting of a number of intermittently allied city states drawn together by a shared language (Hylotic) and sense of cultural norms. These Hylotic states varied widely in size and style of governance, ranging from small, comparatively egalitarian fishing settlements to fortified states ruled by despots or petty kings.
