Cornelia Hale (March 22, 1972 - February 14, 2018) was a member of the Council of Kerlile from 2012 until 2018 and the older sister of Jennifer Hale. She passed away in 2018 from lung cancer in Grapevale, Kerlile; likely due to her severe nicotine addiction.
Early life[edit | edit source]
Cornelia Hale was born in Maytown, Kerlile to Camila Wren Hale, named after her grandmother and Founder of Kerlile Camila Letitia Hale. She allegedly severely bullied her younger sister as a child, leading to Jennifer's decision to run away from home at the age of thirteen, and flee to Lauchenoiria at seventeen. A report was once filed to the police that nine-year-old Cornelia had been "kidnapping and torturing" local boys. No action was taken.
Early career[edit | edit source]
After her studies at the University of Maytown, and prior to taking her seat on the Council, Cornelia Hale worked as a "Persuasive Technician" (Kerlian euphemism for torturer) in the Restricted Region. Her job would have involved carrying out both interrogations of prisoners and corporal punishment of prisoners; either for disobedience or as part of their sentence.
On the Council[edit | edit source]
Cornelia was known on the Council as a staunch advocate of Gynarchy and autocratic government. Hale also advocated for the hunting down and execution of her younger sister Jennifer for treason; as Jennifer was part of Democratic Kerlian State during the Kerlian Civil War. It is likely that if Jennifer was found during Cornelia's time on the Council, she would have been subject to the standard treatment of DKS prisoners, and then killed.
Family life[edit | edit source]
Cornelia allegedly experienced nine pregnancies of male foetuses, only to have a sex-selective abortion each time. This has not been conclusively proven. She had no female children, despite active attempts to produce an heir other than her sister.
