The Republic of Amorana, or Amorana, is an island country, located in the International Democratic Union. The country spans 53,247.23 square kilometers, and has a population of over 8.5 million. Amorana is divided into 13 administrative regions, including the capital of Konkrall. Surrounded by currents to the East and West, the island of Amorana is a hub of biodiversity and trade, with mostly deep waters, smooth curving coastlines and plain beaches. Its odd geological construction, with a flat coast transitioning into a steep shelf, has been of particular interest to researchers for centuries.

The modern Amorans are descendants of the Mour, an isolated tribe originating from the West Coast of Testlandia. Following centuries of limited external contact and neglect, the tribe had developed sufficient seafaring capabilities to depart from Testlandia. The Mour discovered the island of Amorana, some 700km west of Testlandia, and there established the Amoran Kingdom, a gerontocratic electoral monarchy, in 1462. The King and the Amoran Civil Council, the administrative and electoral body, would share power until 1877, when the Amoran Workers Union (AWU) led a popular uprising to abolish the throne and establish a dictatorship of the proletariat. Under heavy international pressure, the AWU was forced to allow a multi-party democracy in 1879.

Amorana is a developed country with a high income, market-based mixed economy. Since 1946, Amorana has committed to full demilitarization, and it refuses to participate in any military alliances. Amorans enjoy a high-quality, heavily subsidized public education, with universal healthcare, significant political freedoms and state mandated sexual, racial, gender, religious and age equality in treatment. Amorana is a member of the World Assembly.
