"Gardavasque, Beloved Nation"

"Gardavasque, Beloved Nation" is the National Anthem of the Social Democracy of Gardavasque. The tune (Thaxted) was composed by Gustav Holst based on the stately theme from the middle section of the Jupiter movement of his orchestral suite The Planets and named after Thaxted, the small working-class village where he resided much of his life. Lyrics were added by David Johnson in 1933 for the inauguration of president Frank Rosefield. It was adopted by Congress as the National Anthem in 1945 after the death of President Rosefield.
