Admiral William North (April 3, 1924 - July 28, 1991) was a Bjeorgite-Maximusian naval commander who served in the Maximusian Navy throughout the Great War. He retired from service in 1987 but was named Grand Admiral of the Bjeorgite Navy by Brian Smith in June of 1991 at the onset of the Bjeorg Conflict. As Grand Admiral, he oversaw the blockading of the Strait of St. Peter from the bridge of the BNS Kiln, the Bjeorgite flagship, which was tasked with preventing a Maximusian amphibious landing in the town of Martin. On July 28, 1991, in a confrontation that has been dubbed North's Last Stand, a Maximusian naval flotilla forced its way through the blockade, sinking the Kiln and disabling the rest of the small Bjeorgite Navy. North went down with his ship. His remains were never recovered.
