Pacifist Party (Lauchenoiria)

The Pacifist Party is a political party in Lauchenoiria, founded in November 2018 in the aftermath of the civil war, with a mission to prevent Lauchenoiria ever being involved in a war again. They presently hold 10 seats in the Federal Parliament of Lauchenoiria, after splitting with the Green-Pacifist Alliance in 2022.

The party is economically centrist and socially liberal, and is led by Samantha Clavell, a lifelong peace activist.

Policies

Social Issues

They want to keep the National Health Service fully funded, allow private alternatives, keep the current school system, ban military recruitment in schools, and believe we need to divert funds to ensure disabled people can fully access everything.

Economic Issues

They want to cut defence spending, keep all other things at the same level, and re-run the capitalism referendum.

Security Issues

They want to ban all guns completely, cut military spending to almost zero, remove any chance of further conflict and rely on diplomacy in any future situation, government surveillance should be very limited, as privacy is important, but so is stopping any group who might start violence.

International Issues

They want to maintain friendly diplomatic relations at all costs, no restrictions either way, unless the immigrants are from a country that bans emigration, then send them back to avoid conflict (this refers mainly to Kerlile, which currently frequently demands Lauchenoiria returns their runaway citizens).

Constitutional Issues

Lauchenoiria should become constitutionally neutral, like Sanctaria, and forbidden from starting a war.
