North Acadia is a province of Slokais Islands located on Acadia Island, bordering South Acadia and East Acadia. North Acadia is considered the most socially and economically progressive of the Outer Islands.

History[edit | edit source]

A number of tribes such as the Islayas and Arkon'ah people originally controlled North Acadia. Although primarily the Islayas people who settled in the many river valleys of Acadia. In the 900s, Minjian settlers began to establish settlements and convert local inhabitants in the lowlands. Although much of the settlement was in East Acadia, the primary settlement was during the Costeno era, as a number of lumber plantations were built. Originally, lumber companies brought indentured servants from Kolda until around the 1800s, when power was transferred to Slokasian-owned companies. In the mid-1800s, a large number of immigrants arrived from mainland Hesperida forming a new ethnic group known as Outer Islanders. During the 1880s, these immigrants organized militias and often had more power than the governments themselves. In 1904, the island of Acadia was divided into North and South Acadia from the existing province of Acadia, which became East Acadia. In the 1920s, North Acadia was the center of the rural labor movement, with the military even being called into the province during this period.
