Coffee production in the International Democratic Union

Coffee beans are cultivated as a cash crop in a variety of nations in the IDU. Coffee cultivation requires rich soil, high elevations, and a tropical climate, and tropical mountain highlands are thus ideal. Coffee consumption is generally considered to have originated in Darya around 900 AD, and spread through sea and land trade.

Major Producers

Darya is a significant coffee producer, particularly in its mountainous southern regions. The industry is headquartered in Semaria state, which is known for its high-quality crop.

Xiomera is a major producer of coffee.

Aredoa enjoys an ideal climate for coffee production. Its crop is known for having a milder flavor than that cultivated in other countries, with chocolate-flavored undertones. Neighboring Mallacaland also has a significant coffee industry in its mountainous regions nearer to the Aredoan border.

Wosteaque produces coffee in the member republic of Mariso.

Slokais Islands has a coffee industry dating to the colonial era, primarily in the southern provinces of Bimhjar and Dolphin Isle.

Minor Producers

Like its eastern neighbor, Huenya produces coffee as well, albeit to a lesser degree due to less-ideal growing conditions.

Andhrapur, Serriel, and Salad Land all have minor coffee bean industries.
