History
Victoria City was founded in 1785, by settlers from Costeno, named initially "Ciudad Victoria" after the ship that carried them there. Due to its location in a natural harbor and at the crucial junction at the Strait of Colorado, Victoria City quickly grew as an industrial center for the developing Victoria Province. The city saw rapid population expansion during the 1950s as rural workers were encouraged to move into urban areas for better job prospects. Because of the city's geography, informal communities were built into the surrounding hills, these areas called "Pubelos de Trabjadores" turned into permanent parts of the city itself.
Geography
Victoria City is located on the Southwestern edge of San Fernando Island. The city is located 35 miles south of Princeton Island, and 50 miles north of Kaijan Island. Victoria City is also a key shipping port due to its location at the western edge of Slokais and at the end of the High-Speed Rail corridor and the S-1 highway.
