History
New Liverpool was founded by in 1822 to be the seat of government for the Province of Slokais Islands. A grid was laid out in 30 streets running east to west. By 1840 it had swelled to over 85,000 people and became one of the hubs for the entire country. It grew even more once it became the capital of the new country of Slokais Islands. It became a hub for industrial goods for much of its history, this changed after the 1980s, when the city began to fall into and econmic decline, this decline lasted until the 2000s boom were many industries in service and tech changed many parts of the city. Currently the city itself is a hub for immigrants as well as internal movement from Kaijan.
Transit
The City has 2 airports John Santos International Airport and East Bank International Airport. The metro is also served by the New Liverpool Rapid Transit Authority as well as Slokasian Rail.

Areas
The District has 55 Urban Wards, the Main Areas are Downtown were many companies as well as much of the Business and Urban Parts of the city. North of that is Midtown where most government buildings are located along New Liverpool Creek. The Area is home to many museums and agencies for the Slokasian Government as well as Capitol Circle Station. West of the creek is the where the Presdential House and the Slokaisian Legislature are located. As well as the Old City and Hallan Hill. South of Downtown is Southland City which is home to more working-class areas of the city as well as Capitol South Station. North of Downtown is Northrock a more wealthy part of the city as well as Xinling Hills. Across the San Fernando River from Downtown is Eastbank and the New Liverpool City Airport, this area is home to many office buildings.
Politics
New Liverpool has 74 seats in the Legislature, 40 Seats are given by first past the post while the other 34 are based on a parties, districtwide total votes with 2.94% needed for one seat, this low bar means the many politcal parties have at least one seat, though the National Alliance has a strong hold on seats followed by the Centrist Party, some parties like the Slokasian Peoples Party and the Womens Party have there only seats here. The district also has a 55 member council based on ward elections, for these races the National Alliance-Green Pact does not apply meaning that many small parties do well, there is also a Mayor elected by who-ever gets the most votes. Isabella Li is the current mayor from the National Alliance.
