Background
The Battle of Kascan City took place on December 23rd it was part of the Third Kaijan War. It began with around 40-50 Technicals(armored trucks with assault weapons) advancing through the first line of Governmental Control. However, the Kascan City headquarters was warned as the forces from the first line recovered and followed the convoy in a humvee. They managed to take out a few vehicles before they made it to town.
Assault
Around 200 government forces of the 28th Division and local police gathered at the backline just outside the town, they managed to take out a few vehicles, however, the order was to find cover before the Kaijan League arrived. Half of the assault group unloaded to fight through the streets, while another group tried to attack the township hall. But they were forced back as citizens inside fled into the bunker below the building as the fighting raged above. A 3rd group moved quickly to secure the nearby S-9 Highway but were stopped by a group of tanks that had rushed to the town. Back in town Kaijan League tried to push government forces North as well as West of town, but in the western part of town were forced back under heavy fire from a makeshift barrier along the road. For the next few hours, the fighting went from block to block, house to house. By nightfall, Kaijan League forces were forced back to the first line of defense, with many of them being captured.
Aftermath
It was the largest battle of the war and damaged most of the city. Afterward, government forces increased as it became a full-scale conflict. However, due to heavy losses from the battle and increased numbers against them the Kaijan League retreated into the mountains only a week later. In total over 150 soldiers on the government, side had been killed with many missing or wounded. However, the Kaijan League has seemed to have a lost a lot of their forces as well with around 300 being killed or captured.
