Kaijan City

Histroy

Kaijan City was founded in 1127 by traders who wanted to trade with local tribes. By the 1400s it was a walled city with 40,000 people liveing within its walls. Thought the city were lots of markets from rice to samon to spices it was all sold. The city was home to the Kaijan Academy were thinkers would gather to discuss and learn knoweldge. In the 1700s it was home to the a insectution from Costeno it was the site of the Battle of Kaijan Bay were a massive fleet attacked the city and deafted the rebels. Much of the outer city was destroyed as well as much of the port. The city was rebuilt but the inner city remained as the areas around it changed. The city changed again in the Early 1800s as new settlers built a new port in were Downtown is today. When Slokais became indepdent the city became the captial of Kaijan Provnce and later North Kaijan Province.

Modern Day

The city is the 3rd largest with 2 million it the metro area. It is mostly Slokasain or Kaijanese with smaller populations of other groups as well as many muslims as well. The city has 21 Urban Distrits each with around 100,000 people. The city is home to many major companies as well as a large tourist and eco-tourist idustury and a sizable fishing industury. The city is served by Slokasian Rail as well as the Kaijan Metro and Kaijan City Internatiol Airport. The old walls of the city as still there are perserved as a histoic site and have many vistors a year. The highways in city are the S-8 and S-803 by the airport as well as the S-14 and the Kaijan Tollway.
