North Kaijan is a province on Kaijan Island in Slokais Islands. North Kaijan is the 5th largest province by population home to 3.6 million people and 6 townships. North Kaijan was created in 1901 after it was split from South Kaijan after the defeat of the Republic of Kaijan in the First Kaijan War. North Kaijan has its capital at Kaijan City a city of 1.3 million people. Most of the province is rural mountains and valleys, a landscape that has been called some of the most beautiful landscapes in Slokais.
History
North Kaijan was first settled in 10,000 BCE during the First Great Migration. A number of rice-farming kingdoms were established the most powerful being the Kaian Empire. In 640 CE, a group of Minjian settlers landed on the northern coast and established the Cajiao Temple. It was during this period the name Kaijan was created to describe the "land of the Kaian People".
