The Papal States of Sanctaria was composed of colonies, protectorates, and territories under the direct sovereign rule of the Patriarch of the Church of Sanctaria from 1528 until 1974. The largest, and most important, country within the Papal States was that of the former Papal Kingdom of Sanctaria and it was from this mother country that the empire received its name, and was ruled and administered from.
