Minmintao Johnson is a Slokaisian politician who is the Minister of International Affairs of Slokais Islands from 2017-2019 and from 2021 to the present. An MP from Socialist-Labor Party he has represented Silverado since 1993 and has been the leader of the party since 2001. Johnson is one the most influential leftist thinkers and represented Slokais Islands at the Jinyu Agreement.

Personal Life

Born on March 17th, 1958, in Victoria City, Silverado to a family of brick-workers. At age 7, he and his family were displaced by the Second Slokasian Civil War becoming homeless until they moved to Santo Stephen Township. He became a bricklayer at 16, and eventually, he was accepted to the University of New Liverpool, where he earned a B.S. in International Relations. In 1982, he joined the Union of Modern Industrial Workers as well as a member of the Socialist-Labor Party.

Political Career

In 1993 he was added to a party-list in Silverado, during that Election the Socialist-Labor made gains meaning Johnson was elected to the Slokaisian Legislature. During his first years in office, he was vocal against the Conservative Party leading to a leadership position by 2000. He was a supporter of the traffic light alliance between the Left Party, Socialist-Labor, and Greens. In 2004, he ran for President, eventually coming in 7th with 1,123,789 votes. Throughout his career, Johnson has been a big supporter of Skills for Slokais, a student organization teaching high-school students certain skilled trades such as engineering, the arts, and technology. In 2009, Skills for Slokais became a government-funded program, with Johnson being the speaker at the annual nationwide conference. Johnson remained an MP until 2017 when he resigned to become the Special Ambassador to World Assembly.
