North Kaijan is a province on Kaijan Island in Slokais Islands. North Kaijan is the 5th largest province by population home to 2.4 million people across six townships. North Kaijan was created in 1901 after it was incorporated into the Slokais Islands. The capital of North Kaijan is Kaijan City a city of 1.3 million people. Most of the province is rural mountains and valleys, a landscape called some of "the most beautiful in Slokais".
History
North Kaijan was first settled in 10,000 BCE during the First Great Migration. A number of rice-farming kingdoms were established the most powerful being the Kaian Empire. In 640 CE, Minjian settlers landed on the northern coast and established the Cajiao Temple. During this period the name Kaijan was created to describe the "land of the Kaian People".
