Slokasian National Air Company

Slokasian Airlines is an airline and the flag carrier of Slokais Islands, founded in 1942. Headquartered in New Liverpool, the airline is the largest airline in Slokais by both domestic and foreign passengers as well as the number of flights. The airline operates two major flight groups, Slokaisan Egret, which operates shorter domestic flights for a low cost, and Slokasian Star for international or major longer domestic routes such as New Liverpool-Santos to Kaijan City.

History

Founded in 1942 by the Ministry of Transportation as a flag carrier, the airline primarily operated inter-island travel, which was viewed as crucial for national integrity. With the expansion of John Santos International (then known as A.H. Huang), the new carrier was soon competing with Central Airlines. In 1943, the first flight was launched between New Liverpool and the newly opened Zhen Jin Airport in Pindai. In 1952, after some moderate success, the new National Reformist government took a key interest in Slokasian Airlines and forced all companies into either a merger or for the company to fall under the ownership of the National Reformist People's Trust for Aviation. This led to Slokaisan Airlines being well-funded throughout the 1950s and 60's, with the fleet being used by Juan Costa personally to travel the country.

Structure

Slokaisian Airlines is a publicly owned company, although its affairs are run on a corporate level from the company's headquarters in Midtown Ward, New Liverpool, with additional manufacturing and storage facilities, and the Slokaisian Airlines Flight Museum being located just outside or within John Santos International Airport. The current CEO is Glen Ganado, who was elected by the board of directors in 2021. Additionally, the President of Slokais personally appoints and can remove the Presidential Commissioner, a member of the board of directors. The Presidential Commissioner's role is to "encourage decisions which benefit the common good," according to the Transportation Efficiency and Accountability Act of 2004.

Slokaisan Egret

Established in 2005, Egret operates smaller aircraft with a separate branding and brand identity. Typically using mid-sized aircraft, Egret flights operate from 5 regional hubs: New Liverpool-John Santos, San Fernando, Pindai-Zhen Jin, Kaijan City, and Cupertino-Bimhjagarta. Although seeing high passenger numbers on some routes, such as Hua-Qisa to San Fernando, others, especially on San Fernando Island, are short enough that many simply go by passenger rail or car.

Code Share Agreements

Slokasian Airlines has been a member of the Astral Alliance, which includes several major airlines in surrounding countries. Thus, code sharing with all members. Additionally, Slokasian Airlines has agreements with smaller regional partners such as Lion of Mallaca, Eastern Isles Air, and Qilak Nuiqsut.
