Sinhan Province (Korean: 신한도; Sinhan-do) is the second most populous province of Haesan. Located in the far southwest of the country, it shares land borders with Seocheon to the north, Suyang to the east, and Sugang to the northeast. Containing the entirety of the Hanyeong Peninsula, the province has a long navigable coastline and forms most of the boundaries of the Gulf of Sinju which cuts through the center of the province, while the Albarine Sea lies to the south, the Gulf of St. Clair to the west, and the Hanyeong Straits separate the province from the Northern Maritimes to the southeast. The province is politically and culturally split between its two joint capitals, Sinju and Hanyeong, which give the province its name. With a population of over 18.6 million people, Sinhan is a major contributor to the Haesanite economy, and is an international hub for logistics, with its city of Hanyeong hosting both the Port of Hanyeong and Suyang-Hanyeong International Airport, respectively the largest commercial port and airport in Haesan and each among the largest in their respective categories in the IDU.
