Both the current President of Lauchenoiria, Emilia Obando and Prime Minister, Josephine Alvarez, are members of the Liberal Party. The party is currently the senior member of a coalition government with the Green Party, and formerly the Green-Pacifist Alliance.

The party was abolished by after the Lauchenoirian Communist Revolution, however was re-founded as a direct successor to the original party in 1993 following the legalisation of capitalist parties. The 2017 Capitalism Referendum was held as a result of Liberal Party policy.

History

The historical Liberal Party was founded from the very beginning of Lauchenoiria as a unified state in 1922. At the time, the party was focused on increasing democratic forms of government in the fledgling Federation, opposing the last vestiges of feudalism, and encouraging women's participation in politics and the economy.
