The Left Party was founded in 1891 as an alliance of Left-Leaning Thinkers, it controlled the government through the first 3 presidents of Slokais. Alexander Lin was the first non-left party leader. However, though the 40s the party flourished under Howard Ramirez, who then lost power after he left politics in 1950. The reform party under Juan Costa ruled the country under an iron fist with most elections after 1950 being corrupted.
