The 2023 IDU Olympic Games, officially the Games of the III IDU Olympiad, and commonly referred to as Hanshui 2023 were an international sports competition held in Hanshui, Laeral from 22 May, 2023 to 8 June, 2023. Athletes from 28 countries competed in 113 events across 25 sports. Eiria was the leader in the medal count, both by number of golds (12) and total points (62), while the hosts Laeral finished tied for third in golds (10) and fifth in points (46).

Bidding process

After hosting the 2021 Olympic Games, on 26 May, 2022, the Olympic delegation from Eiria opened the bidding process for the 2023 Olympics, although the invitation did not initially receive any applicants. By the winter of 2022, it was believed that Laeral was preparing a bid, although the host city had not yet been suggested. Hanshui Mayor Lei Shanyuan had been advocating to bid as a host city, but the city's lack of hosting capacity for winter events and sailing ultimately delayed their bidding process. After coming to an agreement with Lushui and Cordeliers, it was announced by the IDUOC on 23 March, 2023 that Hanshui would be hosting the event. It is believed that Eirian support for the Laeralian bid behind the scenes was instrumental in keeping other bidders away; Hanshui was the sole bid and it was selected unanimously.

Venues and infrastructure
