Juan Ramon Costa was born on April 9th, 1901 in Northrock, New Liverpool. His family was rich and enrolled him in classical education. At age 20, he became an economist. He said that the system of Government needed "Reform to protect its citizens".
Juan Ramon Costa was born on April 9th, 1901 in Northrock, New Liverpool. His family was rich and enrolled him in classical education. At age 20, he became an economist. He said that the system of Government needed "Reform to protect its citizens". In 1929 he created the "Reform Party for Slokais Islands". In 1932 he was elected to the House of Representatives and held the same seat for almost 30 years, however by 1950 he was one of the most powerful figures as his party grew to 15 seats. In 1955 he formed the Reform Party Liberation Force, that was a para-miltary force that would often clash with Leftist protesters. During the late 50s, he quikly grew in power and by 1960 he was a front-runner in the Presdential race. He won the election with 62% of the vote, his party took control of the House. He realased his guide to a "Better Living in a Reformed System", this was his personal opions, and it became a national standard. He also built up the miltary and incorprated the RPLF into the Army. In 1963, he changed the constiution to extend his term to 8 years, this was met be protests that were quikly put down. At this point with nothing stoping him, he took complete control of govermeant and any who oposed him were crushed. He closed the country and then began a massive ecnomic push, by building massive farms and camps for "the masses to learn the Reformist Ideals". In 1966, after a bloody incident in San Jose, there were masive protests, over 100,000 came out. However the miltarty came in to break up the protests. Over the next 8 months, New Liverpool became a battleground as various factions attacked govermeant buildings. In 1967 the miltary turned on Juan Costa and couped him from govermeant, however there was soon a counter-coup. Juan Costa led his followers onto Washmore Island, were they held a govermeant in-exile for 3 years until the new Fedration forces captured him and put him on trial for his crimes. He was sentanced to public execution, and on August 20th 1971, he was shot and beaten by a angry mob.
