Background
{{Infobox former country
Kaijan is very different from the rest of Slokais in religion and in culture. Kaijan is home to most of the Muslims in Slokais as well as being less influenced by periods of settlement and more traditionally Slokaisan. Overall Kaijan is poorer than the rest of Slokais Islands and has recived less economic investment. The idea of Kaijanese Independence was first addressed in 1904 when Jamual Hassan Al-Kha gave a speech during a session of the Kajian Province Assembly. In 1908 the Kaijan Independence Party gained 7 seats in the Kaijan Assembly. Over the years, the party gained power in Kaijan running Hassan Al-Marck in succesive elections from 1904 to 1910. Although since many in Kaijan were not citzens, Al-Marck never gained more than 3% of the vote. In 1911 Jamual Al-Kha created the Kaijanese Liberation Front and declared the Republic of Kaijan. Briefly, the ROK operated from Kaijan City before a number of members were arrested. Al-Kha then moved the govermeant to exile in Serriel.

1913 Kaijan Revolt
|conventional_long_name = The Republic of Kaijan
The 1913 Revolt began on June 8th, 1913, when 10,000 workers left the jobs at various factories around the island to protest not only low wages but also the continued policy of President Lin who supported closer ties with Kaijan. This strike was organized by the Free Kaijan Union of Industrial Workers or FKUIW, the FKUIW was met by armed guards employed by the United Sugar and Coffee Company, the USCC has a small force of militia armed with the latest weapons, they clashed with the FKUIW at various street battles, to keep order the Governor of Kaijan, James Mott sent the Army to arrest the FKUIW and restore order in the countryside were revolutionaries had taken control. Most of the fighting was cat and mouse as the army chased Mohammed Manaho and his band of fighters. This chase was memorized in the folk song “The Yellow Cats in Kaijan” the song talks about how the “yellow cats' ' in the Army could not catch the “Brave mice Manaho”. To this day this song is popular among Kaijan Nationalists. However in the end Maranhao and his gang were captured and killed by firing squad on March 2nd, 1914. This event basically ended the Center Parties appeal in Kaijan leading them to vote KIP in the next elections, though they refused to run for President as they considered it an illegitimate office, they also never took seats in the House despite winning them.

The Republic of Kaijan was a republic that existed from 1830 to 1848, then from 1968 to 1970 on the island of Kaijan. Both time's being absorbed into Slokais Islands. The First Republic which existed from 1830 to 1848, was governed as a constitutional monarchy by Caliph Mohamed Bin Borro who united several trading kingdoms to form the Republic. The First Republic ended with the Republic being invaded by the Dominion of Slokais, backed by Sanctaria. In 1968, during the conclusion of the Great War, the All-Kaijan Muslim League declared independence. Immediately, the new Republic went largely unrecognized by the international community as the Federation of Slokais wished to re-unite all former territories. In 1970, Mohamed Zavala agreed to re-join Slokais Islands in exchange for the creation of the Ministry of Kaijanese Affairs and economic support.

Kaijan During the Great War
The idea of  Kaijanese independence was presented during the formation of the Federation of Slokais in 1970 by members of Kaijanese Unity Front (KUF) at the Consiutional Congress. However, this was rejected by others members leading to a period were the KUF declared indpendence.
Second Kaijan War
For the next few decades, the idea was brought up by former members of KUF however they were not very influential and recived little national focus.
However by 2000 a number of cities had independence rallies in the more Kaijanese areas of the city. On March 28th, 2007, the Financial Center in New Liverpool was the target of a terrorist attack. Later that day Mohammed Al-Buraq of the New Kajian Republic terrorist organization claimed resbonbillty in a video clip shared with the media. In the video, Huang stated that “until Kaijanese independence is respected, we will go down fighting and take everyone down with us”. Immediately afterward President Sean Khan ordered that the military secure all business areas and transportation hubs in Kaijan. However, this allowed the NKR to come down from the mountains and invade the surrounding villages. The NKR swept across the Western Highlands before the military could react. Over the next year, the army slowly secured the area back. In 2008 the NRK came out of the Mountains and attacked Kaijan City as well as the city of Mauxing. However, Mauxing was fully taken and was used as a base of operations as the NRK slowly pushed North towards Kaijan City. However, they were pushed back into the mountains once again by late 2009. Then NRK continued to carry out terrorist attacks around Slokais until their mountain hideout was taken in 2010.
The Second Kaijan War claimed the lives of 50,000 people and had a massive impact on Kaijan. It also has an impact of national policy, with Sean Khan being blamed for conflict.
Third Kaijan War
On November 20th, 2020 a new independence group from the ashes of the old one called the Kaijan League did a raid on the Provincetown Hotel they also blew up then captured the Tribal Council and the Ambassador to Slokais from Lareal at Kaijan City Internatiol Airport they have also related attacks in Eria and New Liverpool though these may not be conducted by the independence group. A week later, they were given the demanded ransom money and flew their private plane to the mountains from there began their attacks on Kascan Township, within a week 60% of Kascan Township and 20% of Allman Township were under the black and red flag of the Kaijan League. However, a daring raid by special forces captured the leader a few days later, however as revenge they launched an assault on Kascan City. The Battle of Kascan City took place on December 23 and saw heavy losses on both sides. Eventually a massive counterattack led to the Kaijan League going into hiding.
In 2023, a attempted raid failed and 14 South Kaijan Police officers were killed in a explosion. In response President Brook Weasley deployed 50,000 troops across Kaijan and called for a crackdown on Kaijan League Members. Pro-Kaijan politicans in repsonse stagged protests against the operation. Despite this support for Kaijanese indpendence is currently at 57% within Kaijan, and some have suggested that further devlopments may occur within the next few years.
