LaeralAug 30 2017, 11:56:13 PMSo, as it doesn't look like a new map will be finished anytime soon, and as you are the map/climate expert- where do you think Laeral should be? We have a water border to the east of us, and the climate is described as follows: "Laeral has a climate similar to Northern Europe, with cold winters and temperate summers. Northern provinces are much colder, while southern provinces are more temperate. There are no desert regions in Laeral, as Laeral's close sea access and lack of mountains to create a rain-shadow effect. However, many areas of inland Laeral are too dry for some crops, although the area known as the 'Riverlands' (areas around the River Laer) is extremely fertile. Some areas are very rainy, such as Aumont or Laeralsford (which each rain roughly one day in three). In most provinces, it snows several times per year. In some provinces, such as Etrange, there is often snow on the ground for 4 months a year. Rivers are the lifeblood of Laeral, and rivers such as the Laeral, Massouc, and Rellis often flow through major cities. These rivers also support a thriving fishing industry, as well as habitat for spawning trout and salmon. Laeral's climate also supports certain forms of agriculture. Rice is grown in many low-lying coastal areas, and fruit is often grown in the interior. This also contributes to Laerla's thriving wine industry. Silk is also grown by way of mulberry trees. As for natural disasters, Laeral most often suffers from floods or hurricanes, while wildfires and tornadoes are comparatively uncommon."
I've also separately described Laeral's climate as being Mild/Continental.

So where do you think Laeral should go for the time being?[/quote]
Laeral
Is that still supposed to be with ?High Fells? adjacent/inland?
The area that we already discussed (South Antrium, Fonzoland, and the former Dommonian province of Tomar) might not have snow every winter throughout, just in the mountains along its western edge ? and would be warm temperate more than cool temperate ? but would fit your requirements (and probably be a bit better for the wine & silk production) otherwise. I suggest adding the southernmost states of Antrium proper (i.e. Soreto, and Alves Navlan) to that, as well, with
High Fells (which I think you said was supposed to be landlocked?) taking up the former Antrian states of Veo and Norato).

Legionas: You requested the former Antrian states of Kostatero, Lakiteo, and Noratao, as well as the eastern peninsula of Keeslandia plus Klouch and the nearest un-named island. If Laeral wants to assign Norato to High Fells, as discussed above, would you be okay with taking Monvelaro (i.e. the coastal state directly south-east of Kostatero) instead? Or, maybeso, more in the islands?
