I must say that I liked him. I have a tremendous capacity to like people who commit themselves to animal conservation and research - Marty Stouffer, David Attenborough, to name a few.

I'm sure his over the top style lead Aussies to worry that everyone would think they all were like him that but he was a committed guy who I bet was a good friend. When I saw the show when his dog died I was quite moved by his actions.

May he live in the memories of those whose lives he touched the most.
