Chaherism is a political ideology based on the beliefs and actions of Suleman Chaher, who staged a coup d'état in Lauchenoiria in 2018, beginning the Second Lauchenoirian Civil War. Chaherism is a variant of communism which believes in the necessity of violence in establishing a communist government. Chaherists typically believe that the "ends justify the means", and are willing to violently overthrow legitimate governments, begin civil wars, and provoke violent revolutions in order to establish communist rule.

Beliefs[edit | edit source]

Chaherists are generally believers in traditional communist economics. They also support authoritarian government and believe in the necessity of a "dictatorship of the proletariat", and the suppression of dissent. Chaherists believe that any means are legitimate in establishing a communist government, including any level of violence. They are in favour of using military force to assist communist governments against opposition of any kind, including peaceful, legitimate opposition.

Suleman Chaher[edit | edit source]

Suleman Chaher was the Home Secretary in the government of Laura Moore when, on the 9th May 2018, he tabled an illegal vote-of-no-confidence in Moore; arresting a number of members of parliament beforehand to ensure the result. Chaher's forces then attempted to arrest Moore, who fled; and jailed a number of other members of her government. These actions began the Second Lauchenoirian Civil War. Chaher's stated goal was to reverse the decision of the Lauchenoirian Capitalism Referendum, 2017 and re-establish Communist rule in Lauchenoiria. Chaher later died in July 2018 from wounds sustained after being shot a week earlier.

True Communist Movement[edit | edit source]

The True Communist Movement is a Chaherist political party founded in January 2024 in Lauchenoiria as a split from the Communist Party of Lauchenoiria after that party adopted a policy of democratic communism. The party believes they are the true successors to the Communist regime of 1952-1993 and wish to restore the policies of that time.
