Xiadani is the current President of the Huenyan Federation. She has previously served as a Huenyan legislator and as Vice-Speaker of Huenya before that position was abolished.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Xiadani was born on September 28th, 1987 in the city of Topexpec to parents Yohualli and Cuetzpalin. Her father was a municipal employee with the altepetl of Topexpec, serving as a transit worker. Her mother was a factory worker for the Mizhua Corporation. Xiadani's early education followed a path typical of working-class residents of the Xiomeran Empire. She attended the Standard Telpochcalli #46 of Topexpec, before earning admittance to the Imperial University of Acalan.

Xiadani's time at the Imperial University of Acalan was one marked by turmoil. IUS-Acalan was both a center of Necatli cultural activism and the ideology known as pan-Huenyanism, movements strongly repressed by Imperial authorities. Xiadani was influenced by both movements while a student.

She earned a degree in criminal justice; in later interviews with Huenyan media, Xiadani would say that she had hoped to help reform the justice system in what was then part of Xiomera. However, the ongoing repression of Necatli activism and discrimination against Necatli in the Imperial justice system would lead Xiadani to abandon hopes of reform. Xiadani briefly worked as an aide in the Acalan public defender's office before leaving to work for multiple non-profits fighting for minority rights. She was imprisoned five times by Imperial authorities for her activist work, which would further turn her against the Empire and what it stood for.

During the Second Xiomeran Civil War[edit | edit source]

Xiadani participated in both protests and armed action in the cities of Acalan and Topexpec during the war. Incidents where Xiadani took part in armed attacks on Civil Guard units, Imperial Police units, Imperial soldiers and Shuellian mercenaries were recorded in both Xiomeran and Huenyan records related to the war.

Political Career[edit | edit source]

Federal Legislature[edit | edit source]

In the first elections held in Huenya in 2022, Xiadani ran for the Chamber of Deputies seat in Topexpec as a member of the Unification Party. She easily defeated opponents from eight other parties, winning just over 52 percent of the vote. Her campaign team used a mix of her wartime credentials and activist reputation to drive her campaign to victory.

During her tenure as a legislator, Xiadani quickly became a prominent leader in the Unification Party's conservative wing. She pushed for strong action against ethnic Xiomeran separatists, such as the Golden Blade insurgency. Xiadani wanted the Huenyan government to reclaim separatist territories by "any means or force necessary", even if it meant resuming the war with the Empire to do so.

Xiadani pushed for Huenya to lead the international opposition to the Xiomeran Empire via sanctions and military alliances. She also called for Huenya to shift the bulk of its military forces to the Huenyan border with Xiomera.

Vice-Speaker and President[edit | edit source]

After Vice-Speaker Tiacihitli was assassinated as part of the Golden Blade insurgency, Xiadani was chosen to fill the role on an interim basis on August 28th, 2023. She was finalized in that role on September 2nd, 2023. When the position of Vice-Speaker was replaced by that of President in November 2023, Xiadani would take up the new position.

Xiadani would follow through with the anti-terrorist approach she had promised to address the Golden Blade problem. After several major uprisings, the Golden Blade insurgency was finally defeated after Xiomera withdrew its support. Huenyan and Xiomeran sources have confirmed that Xiadani threatened Empress Calhualyana of Xiomera with a nuclear response to get the Empire to end its support of the insurgency.

On the international front, Xiadani has continued to take a hard line in opposing the Empire. Xiadani has labeled Huenya as "the front line of the world's defense against Imperial aggression". She has also said that Huenya should consider itself "an evangelist for democracy" around the world. Expanding and re-arming Huenya's military and security forces as a deterrent to the Empire and domestic separatists alike has been a signature effort of the Xiadani administration. Under Xiadani's leadership, Huenya has also taken a tough line against the government of Neina Arana in Milintica.

Xiadani has also pushed for Huenya to align itself with other democratic nations and to participate in international bodies such as LIDUN and the Union of Caxcanan States. Huenya has continued to align itself both politically and economically with nations such as Eiria, Laeral, Haesan and Greater Acadia. Xiadani has promoted initiatives such as the Huenya 2030 economic plan to jumpstart the nation's economy. The Presdent's "free and fair trade" agenda, coupled with promoting Huenya as a "safe and sane" alternative to doing business with Xiomera, have significantly boosted Huenya's post-war rebuilding.

Family Life[edit | edit source]

Xiadani met her spouse Tecamali, a photographer and visual artist, while attending IUS-Acalan. The two of them married in 2015. They adopted a son, Amictlán, in 2026. Their son was orphaned during the Second Xiomeran Civil War. Xiadani and Tecamali have become prominent spokespeople for groups seeking to help such orphaned children find new parents.
