History[edit | edit source]
The Slokaisian Peoples Party/Free and Equal was founded in 2004 being a alliance of the Communist Party and the Free and Equal Party. This was done after tensions within the old communist party with the Socialist-Alt party being created. Free and Equal was a left-wing populist party that had 1 MP. Over time the party had created base within New Liverpool often from radicals within the Socialist Party who often leave over diffrences of opinon. Since 2010 they have refused to join any govermeant or oposition seeing each as to "reactionary" for the party leadership.
Policy[edit | edit source]
The SPP seeks a Communist revoultion through democratic means within Slokais Islands, including a push towards the elimnation of class and the state. Votes on bills are done by party vote making them the first party who votes based on popular opinon. They have compromised with the National Alliance on some issues such as national defense. Mia Goulding was removed from the floor in 2019 after attempting to hold up debate to grow public attention towards the plight of an arrested member who was serving a sentance. There were calls for her to be removed from the body but the govermeant ended up voting against that measure.
Vialist[edit | edit source]
Vialism is based on the ideas of Chris Via from the 1960s, he was a revoultionary who fought against the Costa govermeant. Vialism calls for the end of private property and for workers to control the state through direct voting. He also called for all workers to arm themselves against "the elite class". Today they often are active against far-right movements such as the United Front and were involved in the Newport Riots of 2000
