Larious Maxwell is a Zamastanian politician who serves as the Speaker of the Chamber, succeeding Foley Sakzi following the ouster of Anya Bishop from the Presidency. Maxwell also serves as the senator for Pahl's 17th District (which includes his birth city of Duncan) and the First Secretary of the Blue Conservative Party, making him one of the leading members of the party's organization. On two separate occasions, he has been a candidate for President, most recently in the 2018 General Election. Maxwell is known for his staunch business manner, as he has served on many corporate boards and trusts over the course of his life both during and before his political career, which has spanned over 30 years. He has worked closely with the past four Presidential administrations (Cassious Castovia, Zacharias Castovia, Anya Bishop, and Foley Sakzi) as an adviser and consultant on many matters, including national security, infrastructure, and healthcare.
